Thank You God for Friday

It's real early Friday morning, the hubby is getting ready to leave for work. I sit with a cup of warm tea and just came from watching 6 deer graze in the yard out back. Mornings...ah...look what God has made for our pleasure!

We have a pleasant surprise today, old family friends from Scotland happen to be at the RV park 1/4 of a mile from our house! How exciting. We have invited them to have Friday night dinner with us and they have accepted! I sooo excited. I have not seem them in over 20 years! I know that the kids will get a kick out of the accents they have...lol....we were trying to locate Scotland on the LeapFrog globe but did not have luck 8( I will have to look it up on the web I guess...

Anyway, I do pray that everyone has a FANTASTIC Friday!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
