Fun stuff in the mail today!

So today has been a good day, in my book...school went well this morning, this afternoon we are meeting up with a HS co-op group for park playtime and we just had Fed Ex deliver our Subway Step Up Challenge Kit. I went on line and ordered this FREE kid for our school. It is awesome. It came with an entire school year of challenges (physical and eating ones) for the kids (and me). stickers, charts, poster, pedometers and a guide. It's real nice and we can't wait to get going on it!

There are so many FREE resources out there for homeschoolers..just have to dig around....

What a wonderful find! Hope your kids enjoyed the park. My daughter loves it when the homeschoolers meet, and she can see friends. It's such a blessing. Thanks for sharing, and for the comment on my post. :)

I was trying to email you with the melt and pour soap instructions, but couldn't find your email. I left them in the comments section on my post, though. www.cheeriosunderfoot.blogspot.com. Let me know if you have any questions.

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
