DaySpring Review

A many of you know, I have am not a blogger who does giveaways, promotes much of anything or has contests. But when Dayspring offered me to review a few of their pieces, I could not say no. You will see why!

Here is their vision statement:

Connecting people with the heart of God through messages of hope and encouragement every day, everywhere.

DaySpring, your heart. God’s Love. I had the pleasure of meeting some representatives from DaySpring and InCourage (sister company) at the Relevant Conference a few weeks ago. It was so exciting to see what they brought to the conference for us to look at. Wish lists were being made, things were being given away!

I was so honored to be able to review a few of them, I am showcasing them here today! I encourage you to browse through their website and start your holiday shopping. Their prices are reasonable and their clearance section is awesome.

The first piece I received is the 13.5" Serving Platter - Jesus Is The Gift - John 3:16

It’s beautifully crafted and painted. I love the fact that they incorporate scripture in their pieces. I can’t wait to use this to serve guests at Christmastime. Very well made and the color is so vibrant. (The stand does not come with it, it's from my next piece I reviewed)

The second piece is the Ever Grateful - Memo Board with Easel. I can’t say enough about this. I entertain a lot and this will be just a showcase piece on my table. I will use it for menus, little sayings, scripture and lists of all sorts. It’s thick and heavy and a real solid piece.

I hope you have a chance to grab a cup of coffee or tea and take a moment to look through their on line catalog. You will find so many pieces you want for your home.

Thank you DaySpring for these two pieces to warm my heart and my home.

I am reminded of Psalm 95 "Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song." That is me right now!

Did you realize that Dayspring was allowing you to give away gift certificates with your review? You can re-post it with a giveaway if you want to. :)

I have the same platter and that same memo board - I love them both!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
