Our trip to Wintuk and All My Children

As some of you know we went in last Monday to NYC to see the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. On Saturday we went back in again to see Wintuk. AMAZING SHOW! We took the train in again, the kids love this and we don't have to drive around looking for a place to park. Molly was loving the window seat as she was on the Hudson side looking at all the bridges and the shapes they made.   I was snapping pictures from the train of all the little bridges we passed, there were a lot of them. This trip in we met up with my husband family, as this is the yearly Christmas gift from his mother to all the grandkids and spouses and her children.  . There were 15 of us total Funny thing, I ran into an old classmate of mine that i went to high school with. What are the chances huh?!

The show was great, especially for children.  We took the subway over to 43rd street for lunch (1st subway ride for the kiddies). Tony Dinapoli's for lunch. LONG DAY for sure. We had to swing back by my mothers to pick up the littlest Newell who was too young to join us in the city. We were pleasantly surprised to find my eldest son and his girlfriend waiting at my mothers to see us! They only live about 10 miles from my mother.

Molly loving the river side of the train this time.

So many little bridges. Such a nice day but very cold.

Daddy and Zachary at the show (no photography was allowed during the show 8(  )

I love the hustle and bustle of the city!

Good thing we had reservations...table for 15 please!

All my children....Sammie, Molly, Zachary, Kerri (the girlfriend) and Jeremy. Love when they are all together!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
