Birthday Extravaganza is almost here......

Did you see my exciting news bloggy friends?
The week of Feburary 21st – 25th YOU will have the chance to win some fabulous prizes!

Used to love this show....Fresh Prince.....

Coming your way.. “My Favorite Things Birthday Week Extravaganza” ….big name for a big birthday.  I will be 43 years young on Tuesday the 22nd of February (Former President George Washington and I share the day)  and don’t feel a day older than 35 (somedays)….

So many things to feel thankful for in the last 43 years….here are a few of them

·         My salvation
·         My parents (face it, would not be here if it was not for them)
·         My husband
·         My sister
·         My children
·         Good friends
·         Great wine (yes I said it….)
·         Great chocolate

Each day next week there will be a special birthday giveaway for all my friends in blogland!

There are different ways each day to earn entries for these awesome products…some are learning in nature, some for my gal pals, all are blessings to your home that I can say with confidence.

Be sure to check them out each day!  Winners will be posted (so make sure you check back on Monday the 28th!) on Monday the 28th of February.

In addition to the  “My favorite things birthday week extravaganza” giveaways….I will still be keeping up on our usual homeschooling and crafting posts…and the LEGO MANIA linky party also on Wednesday!  So be sure to check each day because I will most likely have a few posts each day to check out…..

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
