V'Day Crafts with the kids

Valentine's Day is only a little over a week away and we are getting our Homeschooling V'Day crafts done!   I am happy to be linking up with Rebecca over at Mom's Mustard Seeds. She is such a sweet person and is having a great linky party today! Come on over if you are a homeschooler and check it out!

We used some toilet paper rolls, scrap paper, glue, scissors and a few google eyes.

Here are the results...cute huh!

This next craft was SO easy even my 20 month old did it. Cut out 4 hearts per child, different sizes as you can see. Glue and 1 google eye...that's it!

I love them!

The Lego maniac that he is, has started on the Lego Mania Linky Party project already!  If you are
not familiar with this party coming up...you can see it here

I have about a dozen more V'day projects we will do doing next week....come on back and check them out!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
