Back on the list (again).....it's all in HIS time..

So in January, I posted this...putting myself back on the list....well now it's on the verge of April and I have fallen to the bottom (again)...sigh...not a pity party here...just a realization that there are SO many other things that take priority over myself.

I have not had a professional haircut in almost 3 years, a pedi and mani - over a year, a massage - over 2 years....a day to myself - 1 time in 3 years.....I have not had the opportunity to update the scrapbooks in I don't know how long....

However, I Am in the Weight watchers On Line program and finding myself losing weight each week....my children and husband are happy and healthy which is a testament to my "job", we have a beautiful home to live in which is also a testament to my works.

Please don't misread this blog post...I do love taking care of my husband, home, family, homeschooling etc...but I must find time for ME...you have heard the phrases "Happy Wife, Happy Life"...."If momma ain't happy, no one is happy."  I can go on....

I turn to the bible for my encouragement today....it's simple.....

Philippians 4;19 tells us "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. "

Reading this simple verse reassures me that my needs will be met, just in HIS time, not in mine....

I will be praying about this and hoping that you pray with me, for yourself and me!  For this is the season!

Praying for you hope you get some ME time soon. I feel your pain many of the things you haven't had I haven't had either in a very long time. My husband has had 3 days off work in 4 weeks including weekends. If you find any answers pass them to me:)

This season can be so hard. You are so right though.. God provides everything we need.. in his timing. I find myself getting the I wants or I needs.. but if I stop and pray I find that I have everything I need or God surprises me/us with something we need/want.

I think this is one of the hardest things about homeschooling. Being a mom takes a lot of time itself, but once you add in homeschooling, it's so much more. I've struggled with this same thing for so long. If I do have a little free time, I find myself lesson planning. I stay up way too late to have a little free time to read, but then I'm exhausted when I have to get up. I thought it would get easier as the kids got older, but now all the school stuff I need to do seems to take longer.

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
