Got My Craft On - Dollar Tree Style

In my search for "putting myself back on the list"...I found an hour and 1/2 today to get some crafting done. one....

Submitting to this party:

My version of all the Numbered Pottery Barn inspired spring pots.  I used dollar tree ugly pots (see below), my glue gun, some burlap, some Dollar Tree moss, fake eggs I bought at The Christmas Tree shop (12 for $ 1.99 and they look like chocolate) and some numbers that were already cut out and sticky.

I also did this quickie....

Using, again, an empty tree from Dollar Tree.

Dollar Tree Egg Picks.  I just took off the eggs from the sticks, pulled them right off and stuck them to the branches of the tree...$ 2 for a cute centerpiece for the kids bathroom!

Mad this 3-D art using a Dollar Tree Frame, some scrap material, some of the moss from Dollar Tree and an egg from the 1st project...cute huh!

Stuck the last three Robins Eggs from my Pottery Barn stash in with these fake chocolate eggs...

Cleaning out the junk drawer I found some cards that must have come in cereal or something...so cute..I just framed him with an existing frame I had...he's on the mantel..
A few touches on the mantel....eggs, bunny way over in the corner with my topiary tree...

That's all folks.....

I am a huge Dollar Tree fan too. I am currently planning a garden party themed milestone birthday party for a friend, and I bought almost ALL of my supplies from there. I love all that you made.

Wow, love, love, LOVE all your Easter egg art. Yum, and some of them look like real chocolate. :)

Now I have a craving for chocolate and need to go raid the chocolate chips!

Cheers,

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
