It's Friday and the funeral....

Hi blog friends...I believe it's Friday....we have really lost track of time this week with all the arrangements, running around, phone calls etc. Yesterday was the wake...it was busy which kept us all on our toes and not a lot of crying...I will admit it was not really brought to tears during the wake.....for many reasons....one being that I know that Jesus does not want us to mourn the death of his children, but celebrate their life and the life everlasting life that he now knows...

I am speaking today at the funeral and here is what I am planning on saying....

Lord Jesus Christ, you see our sadness and our loneliness, our questions, our anxiety. Craig's death is hard for us to understand. In our sadness we turn to you. You have suffered the pain of death on your cross. Grant us the cross to meet your love, which brings us from death to life.

I will admit, this is something I found not something that is mine originally. There was no author on it, or I would have given credit.

I have everyone enjoys their Friday and prays for us for the day. Thanks in advance everyone!

Looking forward to a great weather weekend!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
