A Party Fit for a Prima Ballerina...(tons of pics)

Linking up to: Blooms Designs Online

Enjoy....take it all in...

Birthday Girl

Birthday Girl and her sister at the new birthday present - Disney Ariel Beauty Shop
I used Dollar Tree tablecloths to make "curtains" to showcase their dressing area.

Getting ready for the dance...

All the girls dancing...
The two large "packages" on the wall are the kids school bulletin boards, I needed to camouflage them.

Craft time..
Dollar Tree had great foam flowers and stickers I bought...they used them all up!

YUMMO

A present from her Aunt.

BFF's

Before the girls get here.

I bought this rack at Homegoods. It was broken in 1/2 (Clearance for $ 10). I glued it, painted it and there you go...

Each girl got a tutu, headband and wand.

Covered the bulletin boards (for school)

Easy paper flowers. Using tissue paper..less than $ 1 a piece.

Each girl got a goodie bag to fill up at the sweet shoppe with their name on it and a ballerina that had the same hair color as the girl.  (Etsy shop...see credit below)

I used my silhouette machine to make the ballerinas and glued them to a bunch of different things.

All the girls got Scrabble Tile Necklaces with Ballerinas on them. (see Etsy shop before for credits)
There are what the necklaces look like.

The table is real long and I did not have a cloth, so i used Crepe paper and made this instead.

Sweet Shoppe

Ikea frames...

Dollar Tree candy...worked well...

Fun polka dot paper and striped paper came from another great Etsy shoppe (see below)

Popcorn cones I made from paper and tape. Again here are the ballerina silhouettes.

Found these at the grocery store...perfect!

It was a beautiful day and a wonderful time with my girls and their friends!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
