Repurposed Frame

I purchased this frame at the Salvation Army store a few months back for $ 3.99 !  I cant find the before picture for the life of me, however it was that bright gold color.  It has some knicks in it and scratches, but I like that... It sat in our garage for almost the two months. I was wondering what to do with it.  This particular wall when you come up the stairs is strangely broken up by a thermostat, attic fan switch and a hallway light switch. So it's hard to fit anything int the space that is not tall and long..... It came to me last weekend...

I used my FREE sample of the Valspar Paint to paint it.

Now I just have to change the wreath out according to the holiday....

This frame sits across the hall from this. So makes for a nice clean hallway!

How lovely! Changing out the wreath is a fantastic idea. I love the opposite wall with the silhouettes you made of each child!
Looks really great!!!
IT is lovely. I have the same look in my house. Mine are two old 1900's farm house windows though. I change the ribbon and the wreath according to my whim. It is very enjoyable.

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
