Summer Lesson Plans

We are a home educating family that "schools" year round. I find that the children still look for the structure of some sort of "schooling".  We do cut way down on our "book" work and ramp up on our field trips, playdates and outdoor activities!

Here is what I have planned for June: (starts Monday)

Summer Lesson Plans - June

Math Mondays - work on speed of multiplication facts
Timeline Tuesdays - American History
Writing Wednesdays - Working on letters & numbers (writing)
Thursday - Reading - short stories
Fun Friday Science  - plants & ocean creatures

How about your school?  Do you school year round? Take time off?

We're doing some rather laid back units (to help get our feet wet for the fall), continuing with the Reading, Handwriting and Math and just having fun!!

I hope to squeeze in a few exciting field trips, too!

This is a wonderful site you have. I would like to list you as a blog to follow if you approve
I have put together a daily blog intended to be used as an additional study tool for you and your child. History, math, science, vocabulary, and geography are given every day many with a link to the document to study. I also have researched sources that I hope may be helpful to you as an aide for your child. The site is actually very child friendly in terms of use.
I ask you to visit it and see what it has to offer. The first post “The Furniture of the Human Mind” will explain the site and hopefully you will look around.
Thank You
