Carnival for a Cause

A group of "us" moms are planning a backyard carnival for August and we have decided to make it a charity event!  I am so excited and can't wait to share all the details with you all!  Today was our planning and brainstorming meeting!

The moms planned while the kids played and swam.....

Hope your Monday was blessed!

Thanks Melismama for stopping by :D @The Little Passports, my oldest is almost 5, at first he didn't really 'get it'and the puzzle sheet is a bit over his head...BUT...when we added in the the study on the country he is really enjoying it and he loves getting the mail, and when he sees it in his workbox he gets really excited! I plan to save all the trinkets and just 'redo' the project with my other two when they get older!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
