Party Planning is taking over....

This Saturday is our son's 7th Birthday. It's the birthday every year where we invite EVERYONE..family, friends...friends family...lol...since it's a Summer birthday we always do a big backyard party. This year the theme is Zachary's Backyard Beach Birthday Bash.. I have been in planning mode for 4 months...gathering information...printables...ideas...etc...writing it all down in my notebooks (there are many of these in my collection of party ideas). It's finally coming down to the wire and I am beat beyond beat!  We had few RSVP's that were no's and it appears that about 75 people will bless us with sharing the day...just wanted to share a few things that I have been working on...

Party Central....our family room bar...I take over when a party is in planning
mode..sorry honey...

There will be a Sweets & Souvenirs Table for the kids to fill bags...

My budget centerpieces...lol

Gotta have the shells....

Holy Goodie bags Batman.....

Don't you think it makes life easier when you are trying to feed all your kids
to have the plastic utensils wrapped up in a napkin?  I always did...

Ah, my cookie cake pedestal...on a budget...tutorial coming soon...

We have a full house of out of town guests staying with us starting Friday morning...
and I actually hired our neighbor girls to work the party for me...complete with
uniforms and all!

Without giving away too many surprises (since there are some of you coming who ready
our blog)....there will be a Beach Boardwalk complete with sand.....Water World....YUMMO Food and more...can't wait to share it all with you and blogland on Sunday Night (if I am still standing up straight by then...lol)

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
