W.O.W. Field Trip - Part 2 - Horses & Antiques

Please read Part 1 of this W.O.W. (Way Over Wonderful) field trip....before viewing Part 2....

The working horse farm and antique store....

12plus rooms in a 1850's farm house filled with antiques and collectibles,
on the horse farm. Across the lake from the main house that I showed
you in Part 1 of our field trip.
(Owned and operated by Nancy (AKA Nana)

Although only open Sat and Sun (April - December), Nana
opened it up for little ol' me today to take a look see around
and "donate" to the cause...LOL

I was drawn to this!  (my purchases from this awesome
store are at the end of this post...)

Zachary wanted me to buy this, he said it was from a pirate he was
sure of it!

Can't you just see yourself sitting here
rockin with the lake and horses behind you....sigh....

Off to across the dirt road to the see the horses....

Barn cat...eats the mice and the snakes....lol...she/he followed
us everywhere meowing...

we could not get them to come over for our yummy carrots
so we went into the stables to see the few that were in there...

Sammie fits right in....
'

My box of Ball canning jars that I just snagged at a garage sale for $ 3 will
go nicely in here!

Don't you LOVE THESE!

Could have spent hours in the store, if time and children permitted!

Now we are off to the dock for swimming, picnic and a boat ride...Part 3...

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
