I hadn't actually thought about it, to be honest. What a great idea, though! I only started homeschooling last year, but think I will teach it to my little ones this year! :-)
Hi Melissa,
We say the pledge and sing the Star Spangled Banner in our homeschool. The kids love to hold on to their little flags and march around the room
while we sing. Would love to win this book :) Email: atsmith@ec.rr.com
I don't actually teach the pledge to my children as we're in the UK. But it would be fascinating to have a copy of the book to read an go through with them as we are learning about American History. Hope I can enter over the Pond.
We absolutely plan on it! Hubby is a soldier, so we are pretty patriotic around here!
Yes! We are definitely planning on making saying the Pledge of Allegiance part of our morning homeschool routine! Thanks for the giveaway!

Sounds like a great book. My son learned the pledge in Tiger scouts and to be honest not sure my daughter knows it. Must work on it this year!!! You know how to reach me:)

I haven't taught it to them yet, but I think they're at the age that they could learn it now. :-) Thank you for the chance to win!

I always teach the Pledge. I feel it is so important to teach them about their country and to instill patriotism.

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
