Once again our little town is hit with flooding. On our way over to a b'day party at our local gym, I took a few shots quickly as I drove...

A little Lego Education Challenge work today for Zachary.

Our boards are filled up with completed work already...

Second book this week for Zachary...he finished one in 2 days (10 chapters)

and on to his 2nd - goal was 1 book per week..he is already exceeding that goal.

Love the Lego program, where did you find it?

It seems as though soccer as a popular sport! I was just reading another blog with soccer in their week, and our 8 year old son plays travel year round!

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip!
