Reindeer Fun and a Craft

We started our Reindeer Unit today in school.  What fun animals Caribou are!  I bought the Reindeer unit from The Simple Homeschool at CurrClick ( it was less than $ 1.00)!

Our Craft today

What's Old is New Again
We put the Little People tote into the attic and it was time to get out the
Thomas Trains (minus the train table and all the buildings)

Girls are loving it!

Bubby sent us a Christmas Bingo Game she received in the mail
Kids loved it.

What we read today...

Very good book on friendship and thinking of others. I was surprised that even my 7
year old loved it.

Whatcha working on this week in your school?

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
