M is for March, Mulberry Street and MORE

Today is the day!

We have 2 weeks of non-stop Seuss silliness at our house!
I just love reading and the kids do also!
Read Across America is a wonderful event/movement - whatever you call it!

Today we did all things "M"

"M" for March
"M" for Mulberry Street
"M" for madness!

Kids all received a silly Smencil (scented pencil)

Found this over at Ingles360 a while ago.

Molly and Zachary each received their Reading Passport today..

Zachary also received his bookmark.

One of the fun things we did - cut out pictures and words from magazines
that start with "M"...

What we read....our favorite book..

Putting their stamps from Mulberry Street into their passports..
(You can print off the stickers and passports on Seussville.com)

What the kids woke up to this morning....

Looking forward to sharing with you all about our adventures in Seussville....stay tuned
and BE BLESSED!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
