Collage Friday - Wedding Edition

I am still on cloud 9 from last weekend when my oldest married the love of his life!  We traveled just over an hour to the beautiful quaint town of Ridgefield, CT.  The town was something out of a novel set in the New England area.  The children are no strangers to hotels these days and the Hampton Inn in Danbury did not disappoint! Our two girls wore matching dresses from Tahari and Zachary wore his first suit coat and tie.   They were so excited for this day to come! I wanted to say something at the reception but every time I started putting pen to paper, I would start to get this lump in my throat and tears rolling down my eyes. I decided I needed to make it a humorous speech...worked out perfect! This picture makes my heart SING!  Thank you Jesus for my four children and their relationship with each other. Aren't the flowers in the background beautiful...the entire garden area was breathtaking. At their request,  keeping most of the

Collage Friday - Fall Time

I can't believe this weekend is finally here!  My oldest son is getting married!  We are leaving today for the destination!  It's a beautiful place in Connecticut!  I will share some details next week....keeping their special day private, as requested - but I will share some pics of the kids and a few details!   (hint - follow me on Instagram for a FEW details as they happen!) We had school this week - still on our Summer schedule...learning all fall...cranberries...and fractions! I started decorating the house for fall and put away our summer swim suits and towels. Preparing the home for fall is important here in New York - we depend on our wood supply to help heat the house.  The leaves are changing...pumpkins are available and apples are being picked!   The picture to the upper right is a picture of my friend Danielle. We had her family over for dinner on Sunday.  It's nice to sit and chat about our lives (other than cancer) .  You can donate to her

Collage Friday - Beach Edition

Please don't forget to pray for my friend Danielle and if The Lord puts in your heart to donate, that is a plus!    You can donate on line at this Go Fund Me Site .  The last 7 days have been so much fun. Can I just be honest here and tell you how much I love my life.  So blessed and humbled to be in it with you all. Last Friday -  Kids Bowl Free Program!  We thought it was our last Friday to bowl free but we received another email with more coupons for this week - SCORE!  Zachary was also at the doctors for what we thought was sand in his eye but apparently just some of his allergies acting up. We had the alley to ourselves. Being homeschoolers this type of thing happens a lot.  We always say "this is how the rich people must live...renting out the place for themselves"...lol Tuesday morning - packed up the car and headed to The Jersey Shore for our annual beach time.  The children love it here so much and I love watching them enjoying al

Collage Friday

Labor day came and went without huge excitement in our home.  We did make it to another minor league baseball game on Friday night.  The fireworks were beautiful as was the night!  On Saturday my mom and I hosted a Bridal Luncheon for my soon-to-be Daughter-In-Law.  That was very special.  (more on that party coming up next week!) We are still on "summer break" in our home which means we are on a lighter schedule for school.  We got back to the beach this week with our other homeschooling friends and it was nice to have it empty. The children could run anywhere they wanted. There was no swimming as the lifeguards have all gone back to collage, but they could wade and gathering needed water for sand castles. Misc happenings... I found all these paperback books in the used book "for sale" section of our library. SCORE for 50 cents each!   We have been playing a lot of Scrabble Jr. with the girls also.  I finally printed off some
