Spring Crafting: Washi Picture Easels

Getting my DIY Craft on for Spring! I found these adorable unfinished clipboards at A.C. Moore crafts.  Not only are they clipboards, but they have a spot in the back to insert the dowel  (came with it) to allow it to stand up on a desk or table!  Also there is a spot to hang it on the back too!  THEY WERE ONLY A $1.00! Marrying it up with some Spring Washi Tape was the PERFECT little gift.  NOTE: You will need to unscrew the hardware in order to put the last pieces of Washi Tape on the clipboard for a finished look. Easy peasy! HOW Cute did this turn out!  The grandmas will most likely attach a picture of the grandkids! Great for the desks. They can change out the pictures or put notes, grocery lists or anything on the clip.  In my craft stash, I found some cute wooden squares, added a sticky magnet to it and there you go, just the finishing touch it needed! There you have it. Easy and a fun DIY!  Hurry ...

Creating a Valentine Photo Booth Back Drop for A Buck

Sharing a speedy quick idea with you today for a perfect Valentine Photo Booth Backdrop .   The Dollar Tree, craft stores (use coupons) (and I am sure drug stores and grocery stores) sell packages of 10 or more of these sparkly paper hearts.  Spend the $ 1, pick an empty wall and have the kids stick them around a small area (I used blue painters tape) . Cut up a few mustaches out of construction paper and maybe an empty frame hanging around.   There you have it!  The kids had a ball posing! Happy Valentine's Day! Superbowl Inspiration and Tutorial

Creating a cute Superbowl tablescape is easy and can be inexpensive with just a few items!  I downloaded these cute party printables from Catch My Party last week and knew I had to “girl” them up a little…lol… Thank you 9 to 5 mom for creating these! We are having a few friends over for the big game!  (Let me put a disclaimer here...we are NEITHER Giants Fans or Patriots Fans, we are Vikings Fans , but since they are playing golf instead of football right now, we are routing for the Patriots, ONLY because the hubster is in a "pool" at work and momma needs a  new pair of shoes...lol) TIP 1: Mix and Match things... Took the food tents and some of the other printables..used a toothpick to insert it...cute way to incorporate the two...both found at Catch My Party at the link above.  TIP 2: REUSE and RECYCLE I have used this indoor.outdoor carpet piece for Easter Grass, Football turf,  Baseball turf and more for parties...worth the $ 8.00 I spent on it! REUSE!...

DIY Valentine Gifts for classmates and friends

We are 1 month until Valentine's Day!  ( love me some fun holidays) ! To refresh you all, I am challenging myself this year to a strict budget of $ 10 for our homeschool  holiday parties ( of course this does not include birthday ).   For our upcoming Valentine's Day party I was able to make something that cost us nothing.  Heart Shaped Valentine Crayons Aren't they cute! Here is how we created them... Took all our broken crayon pieces that I have been saving (there is still time for you to save them) and put them into Silicone heart shaped cupcake cups   (which are honestly not my favorite  to bake with but great for making soap and crayons) Set oven to 250 degrees... Zachary is learning about RESPECT for the oven and how to  properly use it. Here is what they looked like all melted (about 15 mins) I set ours out on the deck to set up...once set ( about 30 mins ) I popped them out of the molds...and there you have it... ...
