Lil' Pumpkin Baby Shower

I am so excited to share a little sample of the baby shower that I had the honor of hosting for my daughter-in-law.  She is due 2 days after Christmas and a fall shower was perfect timing before she did not want to make the hour plus trip up to the farmhouse (those bathroom breaks ya know) .  Lil' Pumpkin  was the theme that I went with. It was seasonal and effortless to decorate.  Flowers, pumpkins, leaf scatter...all worked out perfect. It all started with the invitation. I found these on Etsy at the PartyPrintery shop. I would high recommend the shop and will be using them again.  Aren't they darling!  I also purchased a cute add on card that requested the guests bring a book for the baby instead of a card and to sign a personal note inside the book.  We gave the guests these adorable Jack Be Little pumpkins that I bought from a local farmer. Making the tags on my Cameo was a breeze! I had a large basket on displa...

It's THAT time of year again...Football season!

Football isn't just for the boys ya know.... I might not be a HUGE football fan, but I am a FAN of a great gathering and whooping it up!  Using my Silhouette Cameo I transformed these plastic cups for the girls and decorated the wine glasses for the ladies.   Add some fun food and put the game on and you're ready to PARTAY!  To view some of the other Football themed parties and ideas on The Joys of Home Educating click on over.  What's your favorite NFL team?   We have a New Orleans Saints fan in the house and the rest are Minnesota Vikings fans and they have a good feeling about the season this year!  GO TEAM!

Back to School: Celebration

This time of year can be exciting and sad all at the same time. So many of our friends are "going back to school" (public school) and we will miss them. Sure we will see them from time to time, but once the Fall hits, it's usually on the soccer field and at an occasional birthday party.   Even though we homeschool, we still like to celebrate the "new year" with a changing of the grade levels.  Here is a fun party I set up for the kids to celebration such an occasion.  I love to give them something fun to start off the new year (and it does not always have to be candy) .  Using these fun gumball tubes and a few new pencils, they had a fun gift to start off the new year.  What are you back to school traditions?  Do you celebrate?  Back to School printables can be found at D&P Celebrations Etsy Shop. Pinks N Pigskins - A Girly Football Celebration

Superbowl is almost here!  Although the two teams our family supports  (Vikings and the Saints)  were nowhere near qualifying - we are still excited to watch it all play out!  Our two daughers and I are just as excited as my son and husband.  I decided this year to celebrate the day with a  Pinks N Pigskins Party!    Glamming it up! A teaser of what is in store for the big game.... Can't wait to share the entire celebration with you in early February! Until next time - Be Blessed and Touchdown!

Family NYE Party On a Budget

#KidsNYE For the last three years, we have made a decision to ring in the new year as a family.  Okay maybe that means that they all wake me up at 11:50 pm for 11 minutes then I crawl into my bed.  However it plays out, we do it as a family.  The night consists of snacking, video games, board games and some silly dancing.  I don't go overboard (for me that's a statement) but do enough to make it feel special.  My go to place is our local Dollar Tree (not a sponsored post, just love our Dollar Tree) . A few years ago they came to town and they are here to stay. I love the assortment of party items.  Giving myself a budget of $ 10 was easy to make all the magic happen.  These cute cardboard hats are perfect for the children.   I embellished, adding the 2015 with my Silhouette Cameo (black vinyl). Even the polka dot wrapping paper was from the Dollar Tree.  The gold star plates were a bonus item t...
