Christmas Tour - glimpse inside

One of my favorite things to do when I have a free minute, is to check out all the beautiful Holiday Christmas Home Tours in blogland. There are SO many beautiful blogs that are dedicated to homes and lifestyles. While, ours is not one of those, I am proud of our new kitchen and feel blessed how far our family has come over the last 17 years!   You won't see perfectly staged areas in my pictures, just our real life but I thought worthy of sharing....so here goes... (no judgments please) Hopefully you can get some design ideas from the tour. I am always on the lookout for new ways to decorate!  Would love for you to leave your ideas in the comments! It was fun decorating for Christmas in the new kitchen. White is the perfect background for the red to pop!  I really don't have a theme to decorating, just what I love. Probably if you had to pick one "theme" it might be "Farmhouse" style.  We put the red knobs back on the stove..if yo...

Farmhouse Friday - Fall at the Farmhouse

Happy Friday Friends It's been a sad and depressing week in our world. I almost did not blog this week but then I thought, this is what makes me happy to share with you all and I don't want to let sadness win!  I just cant believe that we live in a world where events like Las Vegas can even happen.  Where people become so numb to love for one another.   We have had the news off on the television, as our son gets very anxious with bad/sad news. We have been doing a lot of fall cooking and baking. Pumpkin and pear everything. What is it about fall time that has us ready to bake and cook up a storm? We bring out our slow cookers and hunker down for the season.  We are so thankful that our Asian pe...

Spring has Sprung at the Farmhouse

March is going out like a lion however, April will not be coming in like a lamb.  We still have some snow mounds on the mountain and this rain we are expecting today will hopefully melt all those.  I sure pray that Spring is here to stay now!  I need the sun and the fresh warmer air!  We are definitely lacking in Vitamin D around here.    I started my Spring decorating with little sprinkles here and there.  My mom always gets me a Welcome Spring gift and this year she bought me this beautiful glitter set of bunnies for our master bedroom.  They are SOO cute.  I believe she found them at Pottery Barn.  Don't you think they go well with our gray and turquoise color scheme?  Bunnies are easy to decorate with for Spring because they bring you right through Easter time (which seems to be right in the middle of the month this year, like I remember it growing up). When Easter falls in March, it just seems to early...
