The cooler weather is coming this weekend here in NYC area....Thank You God! I am so looking forward to my jeans, flannel PJ's and fires in the fireplace again! (and comfort food!)

My Fall Friday Recipe is: Stuffed Green Peppers!

Oh so many ways to make these babies!

You can use any color pepper you would like, really depends on your personal taste.

These particular peppers are stuffed with:

Browned Ground Turkey

Brown Rice (cooked)

Onions

Salt

Garlic

Spaghetti Sauce (hubby's homemade)

After cleaning out your pepper, stuff with all the above and bake at 350 until

peppers are getting tender.

Other options: sausage, ground beef, veggies w/rice

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! We have had a good week here in NY. The snow is melting and the signs of spring are everywhere! I am ready for the light coat and to put away my Uggs for the season. Zachary worked on the Women and Children of the Revolutionary War - and some fun Scholastic - Super Science! He is always working on his IPAD playing Scrabble, Words with Friends, Monopoly, Stack the States and Stack the Countries. The girls and I talked about what is happening outside with the plants and animals. Waking up! Sammie also enjoyed this Sofia the First Unit. We had so much fun making our Chocolate Volcano Cakes from our Raddish box this week. Of course some Spring crafting was in order. We made these easy cupcake paper and button flowers pictures.
