God is Faithful....

This week has been THE best weather week all Summer here in Southern NY. HOWEVER, all three little blessings at home have been dealing with the Coxsackie Virus and it's really starting to wear on us all.  We are on Day 6 of fevers....headaches.....sore throat.  Had to cancel our last camping trip of the season with our BFF's   8(    Have not schooled too much 8(    In addition, the children can be mildly contagious for up to 10 days after they are symptomatic which means next week, while my husband is away on business, we should stay away from playdates and parties 8(

I am believing this is happening all for a reason - I am faithful.

On the "glass is 1/2 full side of life" - today is our 9th Wedding Anniversary!  Reason to celebrate I think!

In addition, I am on the list of the top 25 New York Mom Blogs over at Circle of Moms - which is always nice to be recognized 8)   (you can vote 1 time per day if you feel lead)

I pray that your weekend is filled with love, laughter and good food!

 Be blessed ya all!

Happy Anniversary Mel!!! I'm so sorry to hear about the kids being sick, and on top of that the camp out being cancelled. I know that was a relief for when the hubsters was away. I'll be praying for everyone to have an amazing weekend this weekend.

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goodsā€”chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of bakerā€™s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor...

Collage Friday and a Video

We have had a good week here in NY. The snow is melting and the signs of spring are everywhere!  I am ready for the light coat and to put away my Uggs for the season.   Zachary worked on the Women and Children of the Revolutionary War - and some fun Scholastic - Super Science!  He is always working on his IPAD playing Scrabble, Words with Friends, Monopoly, Stack the States and Stack the Countries. The girls and I talked about what is happening outside with the plants and animals. Waking up!  Sammie also enjoyed this Sofia the First Unit. We had so much fun making our Chocolate Volcano Cakes from our Raddish box this week.   Of course some Spring crafting was in order. We made these easy cupcake paper and button flowers pictures. Also using some kitchen sponges (for stamping)  from dollar store to make these beautiful spring cards.  Thursday Science - again going to our Raddish box and finding a cool experiment. ...
