BEECHING IT!

Today I will boarding a plan to travel hundreds of miles away from my home, my family and my comfort zone to gather in fellowship with other bloggers who are like minded.

BEECH Retreat

I am excited, scared, excited and already missing the family (lol)

Although this is not my 1st blogging conference, it is the only one that I have been to that was not within a few hour driving distance.  Leaving my children and husband are not something I can do lightly and without hesitation.  Not because I don't think my husband can "handle" the children, but because they are my life, my daily reason for waking up in the morning, my everything.

Here are a few REASONS why I am so excited to travel that far...

A very dear friend - La Donna - she blogs at Santa Beso
HERE is our Story.

We have met IRL last year in NYC while her hubby had a conference to attend.

I can't wait to hug them...chat with them and probably (most likely) cry a little with them...

There are more blogging friends that I have meet at other blogging conferees an that will be there..and so many more new friends to meet!

If you feel it in your heart. I ask that you pray for all of us!  For the weather to be perfect to enjoy the beaches, for the hotel staff to meet our needs, for the safe arrival of everyone! Also for my husband and children!

I can't wait to return to you all and fill you in on everything!

Until then - Be Blessed!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goodsā€”chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of bakerā€™s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor...

Collage Friday and a Video

We have had a good week here in NY. The snow is melting and the signs of spring are everywhere!  I am ready for the light coat and to put away my Uggs for the season.   Zachary worked on the Women and Children of the Revolutionary War - and some fun Scholastic - Super Science!  He is always working on his IPAD playing Scrabble, Words with Friends, Monopoly, Stack the States and Stack the Countries. The girls and I talked about what is happening outside with the plants and animals. Waking up!  Sammie also enjoyed this Sofia the First Unit. We had so much fun making our Chocolate Volcano Cakes from our Raddish box this week.   Of course some Spring crafting was in order. We made these easy cupcake paper and button flowers pictures. Also using some kitchen sponges (for stamping)  from dollar store to make these beautiful spring cards.  Thursday Science - again going to our Raddish box and finding a cool experiment. ...
