One of my favorite things to do when I have a free minute, is to check out all the beautiful Holiday Christmas Home Tours in blogland. There are SO many beautiful blogs that are dedicated to homes and lifestyles. While, ours is not one of those, I am proud of our new kitchen and feel blessed how far our family has come over the last 17 years!
You won't see perfectly staged areas in my pictures, just our real life but I thought worthy of sharing....so here goes... (no judgments please)
Hopefully you can get some design ideas from the tour. I am always on the lookout for new ways to decorate! Would love for you to leave your ideas in the comments!
It was fun decorating for Christmas in the new kitchen. White is the perfect background for the red to pop! I really don't have a theme to decorating, just what I love. Probably if you had to pick one "theme" it might be "Farmhouse" style.
We put the red knobs back on the stove..if you remember I changed them to black, for the fall. One thing you will not see my kitchen, is outlets on the walls. We put outlet strips under the cabinets so our back splash is seamless. Love the look!
The greenery was a score from our local grocery store.
The floors were the ONLY original thing we kept in the kitchen and they are in great shape. Real hardwood will hold up almost forever. The two appliances you see here are a microwave drawer and a warming drawer. I really thought the warming drawer would get used a few times a year, but nope, I use it almost every day!
You can see a peek of our tree over there in the corner. I have a Christmas tree in my kitchen y'all! lol #dreamcometrue
Coffee, tea and hot cocoa bar stay up until spring.
This is a new tree this year in our front entrance way. I needed something that did not require lights since we have no outlet even close to this spot. This flocked tree was perfect. It will stay up until spring also. Having some snowmen decor around it after Christmas.
I made that new Christmas tree advent calendar this year from leftover ceiling planks and my silhouette cameo machine. I love it!
One of the most difficult areas to take a picture of is our front entrance. The ceilings are cathedral and it's so hard to not white out the entire area.
My score from a local antique shop. I LOVE all things Peanuts and Snoopy and I found this near perfect condition Snoopy and the Red Baron book circa 1966 for $ 4.00!
