Well yesterday we had a great day in NYC. The kids were very well behaved. The Lego Store was great...lots of pictures. Very organized! Kids and mom were pooped out! Today is the beach, this morning worked out and it was only 52 degrees...feels like Fall again...lol...

Good morning everyone and Happy Tuesday to you all. Sam decided that sleep was optional last night, so Eric and I were up A LOT! I did not get a chance to work out this morning, had to give her an early morning bottle and was letting Eric catch a few more winks before getting up. TOday is the day we head into NYC to the new Mega Lego Store. Kids (as well as I)are excited! Bubby (my mom) will be traveling with us on the Metro North Railroad. It's going to be a hot one in the city today! brining lots of water with me.... I will post pictures when we return..

I did not get a chance to work out this morning, had to give her an early morning bottle and was letting Eric catch a few more winks before getting up. So it's still Monday...and my husband tells me that he has to play softball tonight (he is a sub) and the weather is crappy so we have been in all day. the day is going slllooowww...I worked on the lesson plans for September and the kids are playing Lego's and reading. Already had a cup of tea this afternoon to give me a little caffeine boost. WHat's going on with you today?

So it's the last Monday of the month of June. Tomorrow we head into NYC to the opening of the Lego store at Rockefeller center...kids are excited! TOday is HOT HOt Hot...I went and worked out at 5 and it was already 80 out! Had a nice weekend and ready for a long weekend with Eric home for the 4th of July!

What a hot week here in NY. We had a playdate today at my friends house...she introduced us to her new puppy...fun time! Great food and great company! Took the kids to the animal shelter after the playdate to drop off the donations we collected at our Monday luncheon They were happy to see us dropping off stuff and we took a walk around the "cat" room...oh mygosh, so many kittens and cats. Molly was so moved by it, she cried the entire way home. She felt bad that they had no families to belong too. 8( This weekend we are meeting my DS's GF's father and her brother. Having a bbq.

So every Thursday in the Summer I have the three girls from next door, all sisters...triplets. They will be 12 (I believe) in a few days! They are coming over to help out with the kids...play....watch...help in general, while I clean and get lesson plans done....today was just cleaning..the house needed it! So I feel great when I am all clean and organized!

So today was a busy one so far and it's only 1:30 pm! I took the kids to the local grocery store so we could return many bottles and cans. I wanted to teach them about recycling and the money part of the whole thing. Molly did the plastic (standing in a shopping cart - she LOVED IT...Zachary did the cans, HE LOVED IT! I did the glass. All in all, great time! Then we went to a playdate which was fun! Then farmers market (not too impressed) and of course the dollar store....lots of great "school supplies" there! I am going to make a homemade salsa for tacos tonight while the baby is sleeping...tomorrow off to the beach!

Today is the official start of Summertime. We are going to a Summer Kick Off luncheon with friends...will probably come home and go into the pool. Suppose to be real hot today. We found out that Toys r Us today has a great Lego event from 12 - 2. Giveaways, contests and more...taking the kids. Seems Molly has a cold and has been coughing all morning 8( Hope she feels better soon....going to be 85 today. Swimming is in order!

Set up a backyard scavenger hunt for the kids! Make up index cards with items that they kids can find in the yard. Take a great Summer evening and let the kids go wild. Some suggestions: Find something Green, Find something silky, find something brown, find something bumpy etc...we did this for Molly's birthday and the kids had a great fun!

Took the kids to the beach today for the 1st time this year! Great start to the Summer! Loved it. Posting Pictures. Also became a FAN of Egghead Academics today! Great site! I will put them in my favorite sites column!

I am on a roll today making Lap books for the kids. I made a numbers one (1-5) for Molly, a camping one for Zachary, a dog one for Zachary and have stuff cut out for a cat and bird one. We are going to be doing "An Animal of the Week".... I have to get out my Letter of Intent to the school district next week...then we are OFFICIALLY "on the books" I guess you could call it... Let's see - yesterday was mine and my hubby's 10 yr (being together) anniversary and he decided to play softball instead of coming home to see me...honestly, they needed 1 more guy or they would have to forfeit and he did not want that to happen, but I was not happy. Woke up this morning and worked out at 5 am, as I am trying to do from now on. Feel great! The day is perfect so far...60 degrees and we are on the deck enjoying the morning. I think we are going to get the bouncy house out today and let the kids jump til they drop...lol....

We are gearing up for Summer school session tomorrow. It's been 2 weeks since we have officially "schooled" and I tell you the kids are in need of some structure! I have let them be on "vacation" for the two weeks and it's taking it's toll on us all...lol...It's an abbreviated version of what school is during the year but enough to keep their minds sharpe! 1st having breakfast with my cousin and her kids in NJ!

We took a trip to our local farmers market today. Met up with some friends and just had the most wonderful day. Weather was 73 and no humidity! Putting the last touches on Summer school which starts on Monday! Looking forward to getting the kids back into a routine. TGIF

I have been working on the IHIP for this coming year. I have my letter of intent ready to mail to the school district. It's such an involved process....planning...and planning...I am looking forward to an exciting year with lots of fun stuff for the kiddies. Lapbooks are my new teaching passion! Rainy day today....guess I will get back to work! Me

I am calling it the "National Lampoons Camping Vacation"....and for good reason! My two older children (Zachary and Molly) along with a friend, Tina and her two boys who are 2 and 4 just got back from a 4 day, 3 night camping trip to Jim Thorpe, PA (just on the far side of the Pocono Mtns.) My Top 10 Lowpoints: 1. 5 miles from home on the way - christened my new truck tires by running over a woodchuck 2. 20 mins into the 2 1/2 hour trip children are asking "are we there yet?" 3. 45 mins into the trip children are crying they want to go home all the while everyone was riding our bumper! 4. Arrive at the campsite...no cell service at all 5. Campsite is "small" to say the least. 6. 2 hours after arrival...my DS cuts his finger real good on a jack knife 7. Children (all 4) at times have breakdowns lasting WAY too long. 8. Campsite next to us was REAL loud - of course it might have been their 24 inch flat screen TV they had blasting with the ho...

We had a grand opening of a new grocery store today in town...Price Chopper..I am so happy they have come to our little town as I was a big fan of theirs back in Syracuse. Great fun today...lots of giveaways, prizes and stuff for the kids!
