Mini Easter Baskets - DIY - UPcycling

I am always thinking on ways to recycle and reuse items that would otherwise be sitting in our landfills for years and years.  We do recycle plastic, glass, tin, aluminum and cardboard in our community, but I also think we can resuse some of these items for fun crafty goodness! I shared a cute tutorial over at  Catch My Party  using plastic bottles and some pretty Spring Washi Tape.  To see the entire tutorial you can Catch it over at  Catch My Party Blog.   These are an easy DIY that the children can make with you.  Until next time - Be Blessed  .

Spring Craft - Picture Easel

Spring Crafting: Washi Picture Easels Getting my DIY Craft on for Spring! I found these adorable  unfinished  clipboards at A.C. Moore crafts.  Not only are they clipboards, but they have a spot in the back to insert the dowel  (came with it) to allow it to stand up on a desk or table!  Also there is a spot to hang it on the back too!  THEY WERE ONLY A $1.00! Marrying it up with some Spring Washi Tape was the PERFECT little gift.  NOTE: You will need to unscrew the hardware in order to put the last pieces of Washi Tape on the clipboard for a finished look. Easy peasy! HOW Cute did this turn out!  The grandmas will most likely attach a picture of the grandkids! Great for the desks. They can change out the pictures or put notes, grocery lists or anything on the clip.  In my craft stash, I found some cute wooden squares, added a sticky magnet to it and there you go, just the finishing touch it needed! There you have it. Easy and a fun DIY!  H

Wrapping UP the Week and BIG News

Top O' The Mornin' To Y'all Happy Friday! We have BIG NEWS!  Our house sold and in only 2 weeks!   Thank you Jesus.  Since we had already found a house to move to and that process is moving along, we were a little concerned that our home would not sell quick, but it did!  We already had the inspection also.  The weather was great this week with warmth on our faces most days.  We went to the park with friends (no pics) and had some quality outdoor play time.  Sammie started Camp Google this week. It's a fun FREE camp on line and perfect for 1st - 3rd graders.  On the blog on Monday (Make It Monday) I had a quick DIY Easter Wreath that you can make from dollar store items.  Watch for more Make It Monday posts coming up this month.  loving this quote this week - Have more than you show, Speak less than you know! Trying to mix up the spelling this week with some different activities:  Molly wrote her words using Morse Code Wednesdays - BOGO S

Spring Easter Yarn Wreath - DIY

DIY: Spring Easter Yarn Wreath  Sharing an easy  DIY Easter Yarn Wreath  with you today!  Supplies:   Glue Dots  (or hot glue gun)  Artificial flower sprig  Embellishments  A green  STYROFOAM Wreath Yarn  (this is Key Lime Pie from Lily) To help keep the yard tight and in place, I secured with a Glue Dot.  Next just start tightly winding.  ( TIGHTLY is the key ) When I get about 1 inch before meeting both sides of the yarn, I cut and use a glue dot to secure.   Then I attached some of the flowers  (off the stem)  with glue dots.   For the big finish - I attached the glass eggs to some yarn and tied at the top.  I love how it turned out. Just a pop of color on our front door.  H a p p y   Spring!

First Friday Wrap Up

Happy First Friday Friends!   I can't believe we are in the first Friday of March!  We got a little dusting of snow last night but I think this might be it...we will be saying good bye to winter!  Bring on spring! We had a busy week... Last weekend we had an open house at our home. Had some great traffic and already got 1 offer (too low but it's moving in the right direction) .  The other home we are buying is moving along also...inspections are done, well test done and radon test done. Just waiting for some commitments back from the sellers on some repairs per the inspection and then we should go to contract!  HOMESCHOOL HAPPENINGS Leap Year - Monday my littlest was sick with a fever (over the weekend also) and so I just had two for school on Monday. We talked about Leap Year and the science behind it.  Also talked about frogs.  Molly (3rd) started learning how to use the dictionary (I mean the REAL paper version) .   The States game above is one of
