I was featured!

So I am a daughter of God, Wife, Mother, home educator and I am passionate about Party Planning. I have started checking out blogs and websites that give me inspiration!  I posted a few of my parties on Catch My Party the other day (I just joined them) and not one but TWO of my parties is featured already!  Princess Playdate! New Years Eve Party How fun and exciting....ok does this validate me, yes...make me feel good, yes....but I do it for my children and want to ensure that they know that Celebrations need to be a part of our lives!  you just never know  the Good Lord's plans for you!

Cake Pops & Tutorial

Aren't they purdy! If you didn't know by other posts, this weekend is my daughter's  (Molly ) 4th Birthday Party. (Actual birthday is next Tuesday ).  We are hosting 5 little girls (including 2 of our own ) for a few hours of ballerina fun!  I have been working HARD for a month or so on decorations, goodies and more.   I will be blogging several times a day on the preparations so the final blog post isnt 100 pages long..lol...Today was prep in the kitchen ( all morning ).  We worked on Cake Pops, Buttercream frosting and Preztel Pops.  This blog post is about the Cake Pops...all the craze for sure!   Cake Pop Tutorial What you need: 1 boxed cake made and cooled 1 container of frosting 1 bag of lollipop stick 1 bag of chocolate wafers you melt decorations  I first started by watching several U Tube videos....I had all the materials already so that was a big help. I started by using three smaller cakes that i had made when I made the cupcakes for our Dr Seuss Party, then froz

Spring Planting & a Garden Challenge!

We are starting our Planting unit and also our Gardening Challenge . Hooking up with The Homeschool Village!  We are excited! Check it out if you are not familiar with it! We got out our seeds..... Pots for future use and our egg carton for seedling planting We took a walk around the house to see what nature already gave us! Beautiful! Zachary read to us. Read a few articles in our Gods World News (I recommend this affordable publication to ANYONE with primary school age kids) Worked on our Garden Hidden Pictures I read this to the kids and we spoke about hibernation and when the bears (around our house) should be waking up... Zachary read to us about a tree that got blown down by the wind and a new seedling started in its place..This is from Ladybug Magazine - another great resource! Molly working on her measurements unit - which is taller....love that it's about trees! We discussed how we can't plant outside yet, due to the fact that we will be getting snow still (blah!) but
