Time to Stop and Smell the Roses - Putting the brakes on!

What does that phrase mean to you?
For me and my family - we are slowing down in a big way!
Events, invites, parties etc have already started filling up our calendar from now until after New Years. The hubby and I made a decision that we will are keeping our weekends OPEN for family.  OUR Family. We NEED to have a few days  for just us.  Saying that, I am sorry to my friends who have invited us to parties, events etc and I have declined.
Please KNOW it's not you, it's our family decision.
WE need to slow down and spend more family time together and less time away from each other.   Our weekdays are filled with school activities, sports and other things.  Our children are growing up so fast and time does not stop....Our WEEKENDS -  we are reclaiming.  Obviously church is a priority and that takes up each Sunday morning in it's entirety.

SO if you invite me or any of us to an event on the Weekend our YES' will be few and far between.  I am confident that you will understa…

Playing Catch Up

Been busy with preps for Halloween, Hurricane Sandy and our BFFs coming to visit next weekend!
School has been great this week. Getting into our Halloween fun activities!
Turkey's are a little early LOL  They are running around everywhere these days along with the deer!

This will we will be tested once again at the time as last year. Although this year I will be home to help. Last year I was at Relevant (aka Allume) and did not get home until the roads were clear. At least it's not 4 feet of snow.  Although flooding might be bad. So we are continuing to pray for all those who will be in the path of Sandy!
Catch ya all on the flip side!
Be Blessed!

Boo at the Zoo

It's a Fall time Field Trip back to the Bronx Zoo!
Last week my mother (aka Bubby) had a few days off and we decided to take her to the Zoo
It's Boo at the Zoo time and they have it all decked out!

As always - so much learning going on at the Zoo.
Most Tourist have gone home for the season and we only really see a few field trips here and there.
This week - Fire Safety, Halloween Fun Worksheets, planning for our HomeGhoul Party next week!
Until next time - be Blessed!

Potpourri of Fall Fun

It's been a quick week so far....weather is finally nice today 8)
Wednesdays we go over to a friend's house and she teaches the girls along with her daughter and another friend.  It frees me up to sit with Zachary and help out my friend's littlest guy -  who just turned 2!
The girls all discussed BATS today.  How fun she even had a snack in the shape of a bat for them!

She turned one of her upstairs bedrooms into a School Room for homeschooling...

We celebrated little Maks' birthday

Sammie has been having fun with the modeling clay.

What we read out loud this week (one of many..)

Getting back into our Scholastic Readers!  Kids love these!
Throw in some gym classes, ballet classes, soccer practice and the week is full!
Hope you are having a great Autumn!  The weather could not be better right now...cool crisp nights....light coat during the day!

Be blessed!
