Tip Me Tuesday - DIY Advent Wreath

Happy Tuesday - now that you have put away all the fall related decor and sorted through all the Christmas and holiday decor, there is one thing left to do! If you celebrate the season of Advent, it's time to get out or make your own Advent Wreath ! There are so many beautiful wreaths and ideas out there for advent. I have a Pinterest board full of them! I love to make our own and it's so easy to do! I am sharing some pictures of an Advent Wreath that we made a few years ago that I am going to duplicate this year. I used a cake stand. This one happens to be from Dayspring and has scripture on it. A twig wreath from the dollar store. Some pine branches from our yard and a few candles. You can see how I put it all together. Spring Easter Yarn Wreath - DIY

DIY: Spring Easter Yarn Wreath Sharing an easy DIY Easter Yarn Wreath with you today! Supplies: Glue Dots (or hot glue gun) Artificial flower sprig Embellishments A green STYROFOAM Wreath Yarn (this is Key Lime Pie from Lily) To help keep the yard tight and in place, I secured with a Glue Dot. Next just start tightly winding. ( TIGHTLY is the key ) When I get about 1 inch before meeting both sides of the yarn, I cut and use a glue dot to secure. Then I attached some of the flowers (off the stem) with glue dots. For the big finish - I attached the glass eggs to some yarn and tied at the top. I love how it turned out. Just a pop of color on our front door. H a p p y Spring!

Thanksgiving Craft: Ball of Yarn Turkey This fun turkey craft will allow kids to express their thanks for many things we all take for granted, and learn some scriptures verses while having fun! Material Needed (for each turkey): • One 9-inch polystyrene ball (available at craft shops) • Dark brown yarn—lots! • One 4-inch polystyrene ball • Light brown yarn—lots! • White felt, black felt, yellow felt, red felt. • Crayons • Bond paper in different colors • Elmer’s Glue • Disposable paint brushes • Tooth picks blunt on one end • Steak knife • scissors Preparation: It will save time to cut out the leaves for the kids. Cut enough so that each child can have 15 to 20. It will also save time to cut out the eyes, beaks and gobblers. Snowflake Craft Part 2

Today in school we made another Snowflake Craft (not as tasty as THIS one from the other day) using cotton swabs. I was inspired by THIS post that I found on Pinterest. What we read today....
