Dino Valentine Craft & a reminder!

Great day in school today!  We went to our local sports complex (Primo Sports) and had an hour of free playtime (Free Play, NOT FREE - cost is $ 5 for all kids in your family for 1 hour - GREAT PRICE FOR MY PURSE!)...we were the only ones there so the kids had the entire soccer field and basketball court to themselves...we played follow the leader, Simon Says, soccer, b'ball and did some b'ball drills. Had a blast! This is a great alternative when it's too cold to go out and play!

Yet another successful day with crafting with the children ...After we got home from our open gym playtime, we ate lunch, opened up the V'Day presents that came in the mail from Bubby (my mom) and then had time for our sit down work while Sammie napped. Today we made Dinosaurs - Stegosaurus to be exact!  Using a simple Steg cut out we added hearts to the back for the "back plates" of the dino. Kids loved it and it turned out so cute!

The book on Dinosaurs that Zachary opened today from Bubby as his V'Day gift. How appropriate for our craft!

We then had time to make our Valentines for some people that we love! (shhh can't say who....they might read this blog....hehehe)

Notice: Molly in her ballet outfit (which goes on as soon as we get home from anywhere...lol)

One last thing....

REMINDER:  TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT THE LINKY PARTY IS OPEN FOR OUR LEGO MANIA PARTY!  IT WILL BE OPEN FOR 2 DAYS!  IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS AWESOME FUN TIME...CHECK HERE!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
