Winner Announced!

I was so excited to see that 26 families linked up to the Show Off your Homeschool party I started on Friday (ended yesterday).  I was hoping for maybe 10 link ups...but 26 is beyond my expectations!  Thanks to everyone who allowed us a glimpse inside their home and how/where they school. So many awesome "rooms" out there and ideas to help organize!

If you missed the post on the great giveway, here is what 1 lucky HS home is receiving...  Using the random generator with 26 entires.
..the winning number is:  number 16!

Home With Purpose

Congrats!  If you could email me (mnewell0293@gmail.com) with your information I will get your prize pack out!

I am thinking on having a bi-monthly Lego Link Up for all those out there who have Lego Maniacs like we have!  Show off their Lego creations.  Be on the lookout for it mid-February!

Thanks again everyone and I encourage you all to go get out all the entires!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
