Easter Egg (swim) Hunt

So it's no surprise to us that the rain came down in buckets for our Easter Egg Hunt today.  We had  a few families cancel, however, more came than cancelled, so that was a blessing!

The 1st set of pictures were taken a few days before the hunt, in anticipation of rain...lol

This was taken in the front of our property, up on a little hill...the sun hits this spot just perfect.

(I can't remember where i downloaded this from, but I will find out and correct the post)

See the "credits" for the Shindig Parties Etsy shop for the paper printables.

All the kids got to take home a big iced Egg Cookie.

I used my new silhouette machines for the chicks and bunny cut outs.

Gotta have the peeps!

Dollar Tree picks...{heart} Dollar Tree!

These pictures were taken 2 days later (today) when we had an abundance of liquid sunshine!
Kids still had a ball!

Nice bog in the yard huh! lol

Gotta love these IKEA frames!  Double sided...I am sure you will see them in every party I do!

Under the deck on the 1st floor patio...fit everyone...with the patio heater cranking, we were fine!

Last minute idea...had a hot chocolate bar with mini marshmallows, Whipped Cream, a crock pot of hot chocolate and a bottle of Peppermint Schnapps for the adults...

Found two of these cute bunny ceramic dishes for $ 1 at the thrift store.

Gotta have the water bottles....again, see credits at the bottom for the printable Etsy shop link

Cute paper straws, the KIDS LOVED THEM!  Nice to please kids with small jestures!
See the Etsy shop below to order these.

Ran to the Dollar Tree hours before the party to get the parents some "party favors"..lol...they all wore them.

Almost ready to hunt!

GO!

My husband and I hid 250 filled eggs for the kids!  They hit the jackpot!

Two hours later, 1 little girl found the last 3!

Lunch time!
Meatballs, Ziti, Salad, fresh bread and more...

Kids loved the mud puddles...lol

Cupcakes and sugar cookies for dessert!

All in all, a great day!

The hubby and I got to get out in the evening for a 2 hour dinner at a new burger joint!
Then the sun came out...figures huh!

The printables for the banners, paper, tags, cupcake holders, water bottle labels - Shindig Parties she is wonderful to work with and quick!

Tomorrow I am hosting Easter Dinner for 7 adults and 3 kids.....looking forward to it!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
