Timeline Tuesday, Farmers Market & More

WOW it's only 12:30 and we have already had school, our craft, watched a movie, went to the Farmers Market and had lunch...I am tired out already....LOL  Today is Tuesday which means two things...Timeline Tuesday (american history) for school AND our town Farmer's Market is on Tuesdays.   A friend of mine and I are trading weeks teaching the boys American History. Today's lesson was John Smith and Pocahontas.   While I taught, the other mom and the girls (her two and my two) watched the Disney Movie, Pocahontas and played.

Mapping out John Smith's journey from England to Jamestown, VA

Some Scholastic Reading... Pocahontas

Making their Indian Hats

Just a little fun with the camera...lol

Look nice, huh!

Meanwhile upstairs....

They were pretending they were all on a ride (those boas were their seat belts)

After school...off to the farmer's market for our fresh veggies....we try to buy
local whenever we can....

Kids sampled some DELICIOUS fresh creamy chocolate milk!

Pickle man...(I bought some pickled red peppers from him...YUMMO)

Boys with their lemonade...

then home for lunch...

Except for the Weight Watchers bagel...all was from the market
today...so fresh and yummy!

Working on another party for July...lol....Zachary is turning 7!

Gotta run!

The snow is melting and the signs of spring are everywhere!  I am ready for the light coat and to put away my Uggs for the season.   Zachary worked on the Women and Children of the Revolutionary War - and some fun Scholastic - Super Science!  He is always working on his IPAD playing Scrabble, Words with Friends, Monopoly, Stack the States and Stack the Countries. The girls and I talked about what is happening outside with the plants and animals. Waking up!  Sammie also enjoyed this Sofia the First Unit. We had so much fun making our Chocolate Volcano Cakes from our Raddish box this week.   Of course some Spring crafting was in order. We made these easy cupcake paper and button flowers pictures. Also using some kitchen sponges (for stamping)  from dollar store to make these beautiful spring cards.  Thursday Science - again going to our Raddish box and finding a cool experiment. ...
