Need Advice on Disney Trip

The majority of the travelers to Disney have a plan....plan for months, maybe even years...well not the Newell clan...we found out we are going to Disney and only have less than 3 weeks to plan a trip with three little ones and we are driving (crazy huh)...stopping in N.C. to see my dad...anyway...I am looking for tips, tricks and money saving tips!  We are not staying at a Disney resort (the whole reason we are going is we have a time share that was given to us for the week, FREE!)

Our tentative plan is to do 3 days at the resort, pool, mini golf etc...and two days at a park (or two)....thinking Magic Kingdom and Epcot...is there enough to do for little ones?  Suggestions on shows to see....what to do....etc..anything you can pass along would be a great help!

Disney will actually send you a free DVD of all the things you can do at their parks.

I've never been there, so all I can recommend is the DVD =)

We are closer to disneyland than world, but did take our boys two years ago. I HIGHLY recommend Hollywood studios. My son (3 at the time) loved the shows....Playhouse Disney, Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid. Epcot was interesting for us, but there was not a lot for kids. Animal Kingdom was about a 1/2 day adventure with the safari ride being good for kids and the Nemo show. Magic Kingdom has the most options for the whole family. Have a great time!

Oh, I love planning Disney trips almost as much as going on them!! I did a Disney tip blog after we returned from Disney World in 2009 Here is the link: http://aimeesland.blogspot.com/search/label/Disney

Little kids will LOVE Hollywood Studios! Epcot is not that interesting for little ones and really takes at least 2 days to see it all. Magic Kingdom is another must for little ones. And use the Fastpass! It will save you a lot of time. There's a book called the Passporter. Its a great guidebook. Also, Birnbaum's. YOu might be able to get one of those from your library. If not, go to the Disney website and look at each park and the rides and show times, schedules for the days you will be there, etc. Enjoy! I'm currently planning a trip to Disneyland. We are going in September and I'm already working on daily schedules. :) I drive my husband crazy!

There is more than enough to do! We go every year and sometimes twice a year. We do 10 days in Disney and always stay on property. It's a fantastic time for everyone! We were married there, have taken kids from as young as 2 months all the way to age 6 (that's how old our daughter is this year). Oh and I used to work there in college! So if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

With your little kids I would do Animal Kingdom before Epcot more for them to do. Epcot is a lot of walking around and many fun things for the little kids. Have fun on your trip we really enjoyed it there:)

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
