Bronx Zoo Schooling today

My absolute favorite time to take the kids to the Bronx Zoo are the 1st three weeks in September...(after labor day)...no public the place is like a library...quiet!  I don't have to worry about the kids not holding my hand or staying close to the stroller...we had a few times today where there was not a person in sight except us!

There is a HUGE Lego event happening on the weekends and they have created
animals all over the Zoo...so COOL!

This was by far my favorite one!

We took the monorail today around Asia.

She's taking a mud bath....so cute!

The peacocks are just waling wild everywhere...this one wanted his pretzels...

Great day was had by all...despite the horrible NYC traffic!

Don't forget we have 2 giveaways going on right now!

Book Giveaway until Sunday

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
