Make Lemonade out of Lemons - Recipe!

A little cooler her today which makes the weather just about perfect (for me).

Today in school we continued with our Earth Week lessons and made a special treat!  Homemade Lemonade!

It was our first time ever making fresh squeezed lemonade and I will admit there is SUCH a difference in store bought!  The kids LOVED IT!  (see end of post for SIMPLE recipe)

My preschooler - loves the coloring fun....

Molly's coloring talents amazed me even at a very early age...

Lemonade Recipe:

Step 1:
1 cup water
1 cup white sugar

(heat on stove until sugar dissolved)

Refrigerate until cooled

Step 2:

squeeze enough lemons to make 1 cup lemon juice (for us it was 10 lemons)

take out seeds

once simple sugar is cooled (above sugar and water)
add fresh lemon juice to the mixture and 3 cups cold water

stir and enjoy!

Kids did not realize how hard it was to squeeze them
by hand...my hands hurt a bit but smelled great!

She will try any food! LOL

Tomorrow we are joining some other homeschoolers at a local Zoo!

Have a great day and Be Blessed!
