Learning Through Stickers and a Giveaway

One way that our children have fun learning is through
 Sticker Fun!

We are a lover of all things Melissa and Doug and their sticker products are no exception!

The girls pulled out their Melissa and Doug collection today and went to town!

Their collection includes the

This pad is probably my families favorite!
It includes 20 faces of all different unique hair designs, skin color,
hair color and more..You "decorate" the face with all kinds of options...

I love how it really teaches parts of the face, where they go and the
options of color of eyes etc. So many chances for learning with this pad!
And the fact that they are big sheets and big stickers, great for little hands!

This is probably my 5 yr old daughter's favorite! So many themes
and options!

I think I love this one the best. Reminds of me "modern day" paper dolls. You
can set the scene, stick and reuse them over and over!

We love stickers at our house! Since we have a young daughter we often use them to work on colors, vocabulary, counting, letters, and even as extensions to books we've read.

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
