Our Faithfulness and Olympic Learning

As July comes to a close today, I reflect on where the Summer has gone?  We have been busy, yes!  We have been blessed, yes!  But have we been faithful, sorry to say no 8(

We have not attended church one time since mid June when Sunday School ended.  We always seem to have something scheduled on Sundays in the Summer or we are too tired to get there after a busy Saturday.  Was Jesus too tired for me?  NO way...what is it about Summer that makes us more relaxed about church?  hmm...pondering that today.

We are having a great time, as a family, watching the Olympics. We catch it at night when we can and the kids are loving the Swimming events the most so far.

Today in school we started tracking the top three Countries in medal wins - US, China and Japan, on a new chart I made up.

We also had fun with Olympic Tic Tac Toe from Homeschool Journeys

Yesterday was a Fun day out and about celebrating Zachary's Birthday with a trip to Toys R Us to spend some gift cards, lunch out and then dinner out!  Think this birthday boy has had enough of three days of celebrating!  LOL

We are busy beavers over here with another great party this weekend - our 2nd Annual Family Camp Out - added a twist this year - little community service element...wait to see!

I invite you to my Sister Blog - My Party Passion to enter to win a HOST of fun party stuff from some great vendors!  The giveaway is open from today until August 7th!  EZ to enter!

Until tomorrow friends - Be Blessed!

National Chocolate Chip Day

Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor...
