Welcome back.....Fall time!

(Sidebar - would love for you to still vote for The Joys of Home Educating at the Circle of Moms Site - we are still in the running for the TOP 25 Mom Blogs of New York! - Thanks!)

Oh how I love this week - we are starting easing back into our regular school schedule.

Although we school year round, our Summers are more relaxed and not as structured.

We will not be back to our Full Time school schedule until we return from our Summer Vacation (beginning of October)!  (love being able to take vacation while others are NOT)

We had a great Summer and will continue some Summertime field trips this month.

Our school topics for September will include...

  • Apples
  • Path to the Presidency
  • Music (formal learning)
  • Jim Henson (learning about Muppets and puppets)
  • Celebrations of Ice Cream, Honey and more....

Looking forward to see what this school year will bring!

We now have a preschooler, 1st Grader and 3rd Grader in the house!

Praying for all our friends who are returning to public school this year!  (and who have returned already!)

Be safe and have fun!

Be Blessed!

In to the fall "routine". We aren't going on vacation but we love to do days trips after the school year starts and clears the crowds!

Hope you have a wonderful school year! Our boys just started at their schools this week, and I must admit, the first few days I loved the chance to just breathe a bit; however, it already seems a bit too quiet!
Love and God Bless,

Collage Friday and a Video

We have had a good week here in NY. The snow is melting and the signs of spring are everywhere!  I am ready for the light coat and to put away my Uggs for the season.   Zachary worked on the Women and Children of the Revolutionary War - and some fun Scholastic - Super Science!  He is always working on his IPAD playing Scrabble, Words with Friends, Monopoly, Stack the States and Stack the Countries. The girls and I talked about what is happening outside with the plants and animals. Waking up!  Sammie also enjoyed this Sofia the First Unit. We had so much fun making our Chocolate Volcano Cakes from our Raddish box this week.   Of course some Spring crafting was in order. We made these easy cupcake paper and button flowers pictures. Also using some kitchen sponges (for stamping)  from dollar store to make these beautiful spring cards.  Thursday Science - again going to our Raddish box and finding a cool experiment. ...
