Christmas in Argentina and more...

Don't cry for me Argentina....Okay you knew that had to be in the post!

We started our Christmas Around the World studies today and Argentina is our 1st stop along the way!  We will be learning about this country all week with a Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebration on Thursday and Friday.

Wont you join us for the journey!

Sam and Sofia from Little Passports told us that the Northern part of Argentina is very warm and tropical. While the Southern part has a cold climate like Alaska.  WOW that would be hard to pack for a trip to Argentina!

Buenos Aires a very big city in Argentina.  The Andes Mountains are also found in Argentina.

Each child has their own Christmas Around the World Folder. Using printables from Living Life Intentionally.  Love these!

This was in our Little Passports suitcase.  Making SNOW!  This is used on movie sets and other areas to create snow. It lasts for weeks!  It was fun!

In addition, we are starting our FUN Christmas learning using so many FREE Printables out there!

This week: Reindeer Pack from 3 Dinosaurs and Royal Baloo  Both packs are FREE for the downloading and printing.  Share the link with your friends! Homeschooler or not, the kids will love them!

What I LOVE about these packs is that there are activities for ALL my children.  Pre-K on up to 3rd.

Here are some other fun ideas with the theme of Reindeer

Peanut Butter cookies (or sugar cookies), M & Ms and Pretzels! FUN

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
