Couldn't wait for you all to see what Day 4 has in store for us all!

Helping Christian parents teach their kids about God.
(They had me at HELLO!)

In their own words...

The ability to learn and read are God-given gifts that awaken the mind, open the heart, and nourish the soul. We give thanks for our blessings and commit our corporation to giving back from the start as a sign of our gratitude.
We will be sharing a love of reading and the gift of literacy to children in need by donating books and a portion of our earnings to nonprofit organizations near our home in Austin, Texas, throughout the United States, and across the world.
Powerful stuff!

If you are not yet familiar with the books from Graham Blanchard, you should be!  These are books that not only help your child but you as a parent, be a better parent in teaching your children about God.  I love their method of learning and teaching - Learn Absorb and Praise.

The Jesus Shows Me board book is perfect for the little hands that love to sit and read.  So easy for parents or caregivers to relay the information to their little ones.

You can connect with Graham Blanchard at their blog, website, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

Christian Novels
Enjoy clean and character-building Christian novels that will keep the whole family engaged for hours.

Fifteen-year-old Jessie Rivera is living every teenager’s nightmare. Her widowed mom has married a man who wears his heavy Christian values like his sergeant’s stripes – on both sleeves.
Glenn Sparrow is persistent, immovable, and not afraid to be firm. Worse than that, he’s loving, kind – even fun – and he has Chris, Moe, and Katie completely won over.
But Jessie is determined that she won’t be won over, or give up her “freedom” without a fight. She knows what she wants, and it isn’t what they’ve got.
Or is it?
Discover the answer when you read The Sparrow Found A House, a fast-paced, often humorous look into the lives of the four Rivera siblings, their parents, and their friends. As outward changes transform the family, the kids come face-to-face with the changes needed in their own individual hearts and lives.
Through it all, the reader is not only entertained, but enriched by biblical truths expressed in the lives of believable characters.
This is a realistic, contemporary story intended for young adults and up, but entirely suitable for all ages. It is a particularly good choice for home-educated readers, as homeschooling plays a major role in the story.
I am so happy to tell you friends, that you can download your own E-copy of The Sparrow Found a House HERE! (FOR FREE!)

I received a coy of The Sparrow Found a House and I can tell you my friends, this is MUST read for any preteen or teen. I loved it!  I really got into the book often drifting off in my mind to the "scene" as if it were a movie. Well written and really touches you.  You can relate to the characters and really see how a family unit comes together.  It would be an excellent book for parents and children to read together!

You can connect with Jason McIntire (the Author) HERE at the Elisha Press website.  They also have a blog that you can catch up on HERE!

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
