Mentor Mom with Graham Blanchard

Today is an exciting day! A day that I have wanted to tell you all about for a while now!

I am so proud and happy to announce the Mom Mentor Program and my role in it with Graham Blanchard.  You might remember Graham Blanchard as one of My Favorite Things from my big giveaway in December.

Let me tell you a little about Graham Blanchard in their own words:

The ability to learn and read are God-given gifts that awaken the mind, open the heart, and nourish the soul.

Graham Blanchard holds core Christian beliefs, informing all the works we create:
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, entirely trustworthy, and the final authority for all of faith and life.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became man and that while on earth, he was both fully man and fully God.
We believe that people were created in the image of God, but fell out of relationship with God through sin and are now separated from God for eternity without faith in his death and resurrection.
We believe that Jesus Christ died on a cross as a substitute for us, paying the price for the death we humans deserved because of our sin. We also believe that Jesus destroyed death by rising from the dead and that by faith in him we are both saved from the penalty of our sin, and given the promise of eternal life.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God’s empowering presence in those who have faith and for the body of Christ, the church.  The Holy Spirit brings new life and works transformation to the image of Christ in character and service.
We believe that Jesus will come again someday and will establish his kingdom in all the world, making all things new.
Can I get an AMEN!
Now a little about the new Mom Mentor program:  Each month the Mentors are given a question to think about, answer and share with you all. Today is the first of those posts over at Graham Blanchard.  Come on over and join the discussion!   HERE

This clock maker installed a moving bird on a clock that announced the hour with a cuckoo
call. Although some software may offer a certain number of pass-along uses within one household, resale is
generally outlawed. Take the time now so the items will
be ready to wear next summer.

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor
