Collage Friday - Beach Edition

Please don't forget to pray for my friend Danielle and if The Lord puts in your heart to donate, that is a plus!    You can donate on line at this Go Fund Me Site

The last 7 days have been so much fun. Can I just be honest here and tell you how much I love my life.  So blessed and humbled to be in it with you all.

Last Friday -  Kids Bowl Free Program!  We thought it was our last Friday to bowl free but we received another email with more coupons for this week - SCORE!

Zachary was also at the doctors for what we thought was sand in his eye but apparently just some of his allergies acting up.

We had the alley to ourselves. Being homeschoolers this type of thing happens a lot.  We always say "this is how the rich people must live...renting out the place for themselves"...lol

Tuesday morning - packed up the car and headed to The Jersey Shore for our annual beach time.  The children love it here so much and I love watching them enjoying all of God's handywork.  This time Bubby (my mom) came with us. Blessed to share one of our traditions with her.

The boardwalk was EMPTY which is how we LIKE it!  Some of the games, restaurants and ice cream were open and that's all we needed to round off our time.

It would not be a beach vacation without a sand castle or maybe a sand fortress!  This time I was able to sneak in some history with my sandcastle building..hehe

The Hampton Inn, Neptune, NJ was an excellent choice for this year's visit. The hotel is so clean and the staff very attentive.   We spent some time in the lobby on one of the nights...having LEGO challenges and a hotel scavenger hunt. Always learning...even if they don't "see it".

We are preparing our yard for fall.  Preparing for a new season in life as summer comes to an end soon.  Next weekend we are away again for my son's wedding! AHHHH HHH - yes screaming inside!  I am so proud of him and can't wait to watch him devote his life to his soon-to-be bride.

You can see the entire Bridal Luncheon that we hosted for Kerri. At Eye Candy Creative Studio

I am also proud to be a part of the Moms Mentor program with Graham Blanchard. If you are not familiar with them you should be!  Even if your children are "older" you can still benefit from their website and the wisdom of the mentor group.    My testimony is being featured and in case you were not aware of WHY I am even on this earth breathing the same air as you, you can find out at this post.

I hope you have a blessed weekend and that you find time to help someone that needs YOUR prayers and help.

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor...
