Collage Friday

Labor day came and went without huge excitement in our home.  We did make it to another minor league baseball game on Friday night.  The fireworks were beautiful as was the night!

On Saturday my mom and I hosted a Bridal Luncheon for my soon-to-be Daughter-In-Law.  That was very special.
(more on that party coming up next week!)

We are still on "summer break" in our home which means we are on a lighter schedule for school.  We got back to the beach this week with our other homeschooling friends and it was nice to have it empty. The children could run anywhere they wanted. There was no swimming as the lifeguards have all gone back to collage, but they could wade and gathering needed water for sand castles.

Misc happenings...

I found all these paperback books in the used book "for sale" section of our library. SCORE for 50 cents each!   We have been playing a lot of Scrabble Jr. with the girls also.

I finally printed off some of the recipes I am pinning!  These are zucchini cookies with a vanilla icing. YUM!    The other pic is our "not back to homeschool picture".  LOL  Thanks to "Aunt Tina" for the sign a few years ago.

This weekend we are getting together with friends and finishing up our Kids Bowl Free time at the local alley.

Some other exciting news: The Fall issue of Polka Dot Balloon Magazine came out and I had two parties featured in this issue!

Enjoy your weekend and check out all the homeschoolers linking up at Collage Friday at Homegrown Learners!

Oh, I love this time of year when the weather is still warm and the beaches are deserted. A perfect time to REALLY enjoy them! I made the SAME zucchini cookies! I think a cream cheese frosting would be better, but they were a hit. Do you like pumpkin and molasses? I made these yesterday and they're all gone! (Link: http://www.mybakingaddiction.com/holiday-recipe-exchange-pumpkin-molasses-cookies/). Fun end-of-summer stuff!

Jessy - yes I agree on the cream cheese frosting! I love pumpkin and molasses! I will have to look into it!
We've been enjoying the lack of crowds too. Glad you are having such a nice fall.
