Wrapping UP the Week and BIG News

Top O' The Mornin' To Y'all

Happy Friday!

We have BIG NEWS!  Our house sold and in only 2 weeks!  Thank you Jesus.  Since we had already found a house to move to and that process is moving along, we were a little concerned that our home would not sell quick, but it did!  We already had the inspection also.

The weather was great this week with warmth on our faces most days.

We went to the park with friends (no pics) and had some quality outdoor play time.

Sammie started Camp Google this week. It's a fun FREE camp on line and perfect for 1st - 3rd graders.

On the blog on Monday (Make It Monday) I had a quick DIY Easter Wreath that you can make from dollar store items.  Watch for more Make It Monday posts coming up this month.

loving this quote this week - Have more than you show, Speak less than you know!

Trying to mix up the spelling this week with some different activities:  Molly wrote her words using Morse Code

Wednesdays - BOGO Sundae at Carvel.  We happen to have one in our little town!

Sammie on some St. Patrick's Day Studies

With so much going on at the house this week with the sale, inspections etc. we needed to be out of the house for several hours several different days this week.

Schooling at the coffee shop was necessary.

Puzzles, flash cards and worksheets helped with my teaching this week.

In the bottom right corner we are play one of our favorite games: Scrambled States Game

What you did not see:

  • Sewing classes
  • Martial Arts Classes
  • Bible Study
  • Park Playtime

What's up for the weekend:

St. Patty's Day party tomorrow at a friend's house.
Church and going to see a play that my niece is in!

I hope you  have a great weekend and bless others in some way.

National Chocolate Chip Day

May 15, 2012 is National Chocolate Chip Day Today is National Chocolate Chip Day! Chocolate chips are an essential ingredient in dozens of delicious baked goods—chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip bagels, and many more. You can even find chili recipes that call for these sweet morsels! In the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the original chocolate chip cookie at her Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. Ruth intended to bake chocolate cookies for her guests, but she ran out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted with chopped up semi-sweet chocolate morsels and discovered that the pieces did not melt into the dough as she expected. Her cookies were an instant hit. Today, 25% of all the cookies baked in the United States are chocolate chip! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, pick up a bag of chocolate chips at the supermarket and bake something yummy to share with friends and cowor...
